Today in class we got our quiz's back and went over them. We were each handed answers to the short answer questions and were showed how we could have responded better and improved. Also, we worked on and presented our designs for the installation art project. Each group drew two designs for our installation project. One to present and another as Plan B, in case the first one doesn't work out for some reason. Each group (save one) presented a design. When drawing the designs, we each had to think about the materials we want, what it's going to look like, how tall it will be, how it will be put together, and most importantly why. What is this installation representing? What does it say about Hopkinton High School? Each presentation was unique. Each group has a completely different idea about what they want the installation to look like and what it embodies. One group went with symbolizing the environment and pollution, another with unity, and another went as far as politics within our school. The project that stands out in my mind is the project that each class is represented in and reflects what the students of Hopkinton High School care about. However, all them were really interesting. I'm curious to see what the last group has to say about their project. Tomorrow the last group presents and we vote on our design!
